Fly Fishing Report for the Upper Delaware and Catskill Rivers
DELAWARE SMALLIES
The hot sunny weather continues it's grip the Upper Delaware region. Currently we are chasing Smallmouth Bass pretty hard and limiting our trout trips to the upper sections of the East and West Branches.
Yesterday Guide Zach and I had the Moore Family out for some Smallmouth fishing on the Main Delaware. They mixed it up with some spin and fly and had a great trip.
The action right now is really good. The waters are warm and the fish are in high gear. Many time we have multiple fish chasing the flies back. Right now there is good action both on top and below the surface.
I will not go too deep into the techniques we are using simply because yesterday's reort was very detailed. I am however planning a few posts that go a bit deeper into the custom flies that we are now using for both Trout and Bass. Look for these to be made available in the coming days.
Below are some photos from yesterday's action.
If you would like to get out we have some openings most days now. give us a call to book your trip 607-290-4022
