River Report for 6/20/2018
Fishing around the system is still proving to be good. Waters are warming up on the Beaver Kill and Willow, so you may want to stay high up on those rivers. Fishing on the upper tail waters are fishing well. We have been having guides on the west branch that are catching big fish. Expect to see sulfurs, isos, drakes, olives and caddis throughout the system.
Nymph fishing is still doing very well throughout the day. Small trigger nymphs, pheasant tails and ice pupa have been catching fish. Keep your rig short and tight for the low clear waters.
With summer upon us we are gearing up to go small mouth fishing on the lower systems. If you enjoy high action with lots of hook ups this is something you are going to want to do. Using Poppers on top is a pretty exciting experience.
Top choices for the coming days -
For Drakes - Upper East and Upper Main Stem
Nymphing - Beaverkill, Willowemoc, Lower East and Main Stem
